CharWise is built with privacy by default. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial information.

Data Storage

All data you enter — including your name, accounts, transactions, budgets, and goals — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. Nothing is sent to any server.

No Account Required

CharWise does not require sign-up, login, or any form of authentication. There are no user accounts, no emails collected, and no passwords stored.

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services. Your usage patterns are never monitored or recorded.

No Network Requests

CharWise operates entirely offline. The app does not make any network requests, API calls, or background data transfers.

Data You Control

You have full control over your data at all times:

Export your data as CSV or JSON from Settings
Back up your data manually at any time
Delete all data by uninstalling the app

Permissions

CharWise may request the following device permissions:

Camera / Photo Library — Only if you choose to attach a receipt image to a transaction. Images are stored locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

CharWise does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data leaves your device, there is no risk of unauthorized data collection.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Since the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
